We work with a few travel booking platforms, for tours and activities as well as for hotels and other accommodation. When a link or a widget on this site sends you to one of them and you book, we may earn a commission.
Does it change what we recommend?
No. Commission rates don’t decide which areas, hotels or tours appear in our guides. When a free option does the job, such as a public bus or a levada you can walk without a guide, we say so.
Prices, bookings and refunds
We don’t sell anything ourselves. Prices, availability and cancellation terms are set by the company you book with and can change at any time. For any question about a booking, contact that company directly: they hold your reservation, not us.
